Huck post 2

Huck and Jim's relationship closely resembles a relationship between father and son.  Huck obviously plays the part of the son, and is good at it.  Huck messes around and plays pranks as a kid does. Although, his immaturity doesn't let him realize the real harm done with these pranks.  One of the pranks was when Huck placed a snake at Jiim's feet while he was sleeping. When Jim woke up the snake bit him in the foot. Luckily he survived.  Huck doesn't mean any harm with his pranks, he just doesn't yet realize the potential harm in them.

Jim acts the role of the Hucks father.  Since Hucks real father is a crazy drunk that wants Huck dead, Jim is a good stand in. Jim looks over Huck.  He make sure that Huck makes reasonable decisions, or at least a decision that Jim would make himself.  Jim also sets the example for Huck sometimes.  Huck looks up to Jim.  Mainly because Huck has no one to look up to.  Not only being a father figure to Huck, Jim also is Huck's best friend and goes through anything with Huck
