A transcendentalist society would be possible in today’s world. It would be possible for two reasons. One being that only a person who believes in transcendentalist ideas would choose to live in a transcendentalist society. Another being that most people are taught at an early age by a higher figure to live by basic transcendentalist ways. However, there are factors against a transcendentalist society being possible. One reason is that outsiders would want to break the society due to their own personal beliefs and resentment of the way the society lives. Although some people think that a transcendentalist society would not work easily in today's world, the society only having people who desire the values of the society, and having most people raised to live by transcendentalist ways are reasons why a society like this would be possible.
Many people believe a transcendentalist society would not work in today’s world. Some people would feel that their controlled ways are superior to the other societies. These people would try to break the society by entering the community and trying to destroy and change the transcendentalist ways to their own ways. They would do this by trying to reach the weak members of the society. The other societies would feel strongly that laws and corporal punishments would be necessary to keep people in line. The transcendentalists would be considered freaks of society. They would be considered freaks because they would not care what others thought of them.
The actual theory of a transcendentalist society would work. This is because only a person who truly believes in transcendentalist ideas would choose to live in a transcendentalist society. There would be no rebellion against the transcendentalist society and their ways. Everyone would be conscious of the other person’s beliefs because being a transcendentalist requires not judging what others do. In a true transcendentalist society, the society would flourish because there would be no competition between two people with different beliefs or morals.
Another important reason why a transcendentalist society could be possible today is because of how most people are raised. As children, many people are taught the same principles and values by their higher figure. Most people can say that when they were growing up they were told to be themselves. They were told not to worry about what others thought of them. Always told not to judge or bully other people. Basically, these values taught are telling people to be transcendentalists. With these ideas implanted in the majority of people’s minds it would make sense to have a place where people could practice and express these values taught to them.
A transcendentalist society is very possible in today’s world. It may not be accepted by everybody, but not much these days are. To make this type of society possible people have to bring together the people who have the will to live their life that way. Considering most people are raised to live by basic transcendentalist ways, there would definitely be the potential and want for a transcendentalist society. Although some people think that a transcendentalist society would not work easily in today’s world, the society only having people who desire the values of a transcendentalist society and having most people raised to live by transcendentalist ways are reasons why a society like this would be possible.
